PPPOE TERMINATOR
The EtherWerX PPPoE Terminator is a reliable carrier-class device for terminating PPPoE channels. Addressed to networks both small (up to 100 users) and large (in excess of 8,000 users). It ensures unparalleled operating capacity, a faultless operation and the ease of use unparalleled among the GNU/Linux-based solutions generally used.
Main Features
- a combination of specialized hardware and software ensures exceptionally stable system operation
- work in the standalone mode does not require an external RADIUS server
- managing from less than 100 to 8,000 users with a single device
- enables restricting a user's logging in to a selected MAC address of a network adapter or an access device
- automatic restriction to one active PPPoE session for a single pair of user name and password
- unique InterSession Routing functionality enables the use of external Firewall/IDS systems also for transmissions between users
- the use of only coded user authorization prevents unauthorized access
- guaranteed capacity regardless of the size of packets sent
- capable of generating graphs for all subscribers using both commercial and open-source applications
- full management via SNMP, data both retrieved from and saved to the device, which enables a centralized management and integration with any subscriber management system
- control of users and active PPPoE sessions via mechanisms available in the device CUI
- a flexible licensing system enables the device to be scaled up as the network grows
- the complete documentation of all device functions
- fully repeatable operations
- ease of device use unequalled by other solutions
